Welcome (How to use this site? a pinned post)

Evidence based medicine has become the backbone of patient management. As such, the multicentered trials have increasing importance in the way we manage our patients. Therefore, we decided to provide the ophthalmological community with a concise and to-the-point reference to important clinical trials you should be familiar with. How to use this site: Click on the subject lists to see the different trials arranged by subject on the timeline. If you want to dive into the specifics just click on the link (⏩) at the header of each trial and you will be directed either to the manuscript itself or to a site discussing it in detail. You can also search this site using the search box on the left side of the screen ( Google custom search ). Please read our disclaimer and copyright information on the about page . If you have any questions, remarks, corrections: don't hesitate to contact us using the "Contact us" form, at the bottom of each page. Now let's get to work :)...

Are you an old fashioned ophthalmologist?

So if our shorthand and digital summary of the most important clinical trials in ophthalmology is not your cup of tea, and you are looking for the good old hard copy you may want to have a look at the  The Ophthalmology Clinical Trials Handbook . It's a great reference as it seems from the free preview. While our site is free and has a minimal environmental impact, it is still in the works and we have room for improvement (what to join us? send us a note). The book looks like a comprehensive review, published in 2013 it probably covers the majority of the trials and it will cost you around 50$ to get your copy. If you have it, and used it let us know what you think...

Be on top of things!

The article " Top 10 Lessons from the nAMD Trials " summarizes years of clinical trials into 10 simple evidence based thoughts about the retina.
